Three months after terrorists' invasion of Woro, Kiama local council of Kwara State, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has released the body of one of the victims in the attack, Mr Adepoju Adetomiwa.
The body of late Adepoju Adetomiwa was released to his father, Mr Falade Adetomiwa.
The late young Adetomiwa was one of the victims of armed terrorists attack on Woro community in Kiama local council area of Kwara State.
A grief-stricken father narrated how the armed terrorists stormed Woro community and killed several people including his son, whom he said ran into the terrorists on his way back from work.
According to the mourning father, he has lived in Woro community for over 33 years after moving from Eruku following his acquisition of a large expanse of land for farming purposes.
Adetomiwa recalled that when the terrorists stormed their village and killed several people, he and other community members abandoned their homes and moved into temporary accommodation at Wawa farm settlement.
"When we had the gunshots, we ran away from our house into the bush. But my son Adepoju Adetomiwa who was returning from work ran into the terrorists and was shot dead.
"He was returning around 5pm and we tried to get him on his phone but his phone was switched off. I left my wife and two other children in the bush and went to search for Adepoju.
"I got information that the Police came and recovered the bodies of the dead victims. As I entered the Police Divisional Office, I met a friend, Mr Ayo Badejo whose two children were also shot dead crying at the gate. He told me that he saw the dead body of my son, Adepoju", the grieving father further narrated.
